Early varieties are for people who want to see results fast.
These are the earliest potatoes in the garden, and they’re also some of the most hands-on and rewarding to grow. On our farm, early potatoes are a huge part of what we do. We grow more early Warba potatoes than anyone in the world, and every year we’re pushing the season earlier and earlier.
Even though we’re in Canada, we’re often planting some early varieties as early as February using simple techniques we share online. These potatoes respond incredibly well to good timing, good soil prep, and a bit of extra attention.
