Growing food comes with responsibility.
In July 2022, we put out a few bins of potatoes at our farm. No signs. No big plan. Just a simple idea to give back to our community.
That day, 12 people showed up. But something felt right about it.
So we did it again.
And again.

ugly potato day
What started as a small gesture turned into Ugly Potato Day. Since then, we’ve hosted the event 20 times.
Most notably, in August 2025, where over 20,000 people came through our farm, and we gave away 460,000 pounds of produce in one day.
We do it because no one should go hungry in our Community. Everyone deserves access to good food.
Giving back isn’t something extra we do, but rather a part of how we farm.
OUR GIVE-BACK PROMISE
For every pound of seed sold, we donate one pound of potatoes to the food bank.
